Bang Head Here... X

As a profession, I test software applications to insure a quality level acceptable to the user. Currently I'm testing an educational application. This application allows teachers to search a database of content and then, if they so choose, place the content in the classroom.

So, here I am testing the button that says, "Add content to your classroom". Now, in all my shopping experiences online, click the add to cart button and the system magically takes your item and places it in your very own shopping cart. This lead me to believe that the add content to classroom button would act the same way.

I clicked the "add content to your classroom" button and received an instruction pop up to drag and drop the content into the classroom. The button is NOT working. After speaking for about 15 minutes with the projects Quality Lead, we figured that instead of instructing the user to drag and drop, the pop up should say...Too bad, do it yourself.

So then I ask another team member if they have ever tried to use the button, they replied, "Yes." So then I asked if the button worked for him...to which they again replied, "Yes." I said, "Did you receive an instruction pop up stating that you needed to drag and drop." To which they said, "Yes."

It says Add to Shopping Cart, why do I get instructions to do it myself???
